In search of sustainable Italy

Castelluccio in spring, Umbria

I’ll never forget the moment I was given a globe as a little girl. I would spin it round and round excitedly and dream of all the wonderful places I would visit one day and to me to be an explorer was the most exotic and best job in the world!

It was then that my wanderlust started and has never left me since.  I made up my mind very early on in my life that I wanted to become a tour guide with a difference and I wanted to lead the way in helping people explore the Italy that I knew from my childhood and for them to experience a deeper flavour of Italian culture.

Since then, in my quest to give the very best of my insider’s knowledge to like-minded travellers, I have been on a mission to discover must-see places in secret Italy to feed your passions that will make your stay unforgettable!

And when we are talking about igniting our passions, we don’t just travel to see amazing sights and enjoy new experiences, as we ultimately travel in search of a feeling. That feeling might be a sense of surprise that we don’t normally get in our daily routines or we might want to find the mental space for thoughtful reflection.

During my independent travels around Italy as an enthusiastic explorer of my native country and more recently as a Tour Manager, I have always been keen to experience the most ‘authentic’ food, traditions, culture and accommodation and uncover the true spirit of secret Italy. And of course I believe that we have a duty to pay close attention to the sustainability of our travels and experiences.

I believe that home from home hospitality that provides all the comforts but none of the impersonal atmosphere of a hotel, as well as wholesome Italian food that promotes local culinary traditions are 2 essential ingredients for an extraordinary experience to help preserve and enjoy the spirit of sustainable Italy.

I truly believe that by consciously choosing the right experiences on our travels to secret Italy, we can not only feed our passions, but we can also enjoy and help preserve local traditions, local culture, food and the environment. I’m deeply passionate about this and I hope to be able to guide you in your search of the spirit of sustainable Italy.
